for 3 nights. 
Day 2- Fully-guided half day tour of the North Salient. 
Day 3- Your second included half-day guided tour will cover the South Salient. 
Day 4- Return to London by rail.

Itinerary 
Day 1 - To Ypres 
 
Depart London St Pancras by rail and head to Ypres where you will stay for 3 nights. Ypres has a fascinating and poignant war-time history, but is also a delightful Belgian town, with charming squares, architecture and café culture, a lovely place to spend a short break. 
 
Day 2 - North Salient Battlefields Tour 
 
Today you’ll embark on a fully-guided half day tour of the North Salient, visiting several battlegrounds and memorials including Essex Farm – the setting of John McCrae’s well-known poem “In Flanders Fields” and the site of the Advanced Dressing Station. You’ll take in Pilckem Ridge (Gas Attack 1915), Langemarck German Cemetery, Vancouver Corner and The Brooding Soldier Memorial, New Zealand War Memorial Gravenstafel, Tyne Cot Cemetery (The Third Battle of Ypres aka Passchendaele) and final stop on the tour is Hill 62 (Sanctuary Wood) Museum with trenches (entrance fee included), returning back to Ypres via Hellfire Corner. 
 
Day 3 - South Salient Battlefields Tour 
 
Your second included tour will cover the South Salient. The Battle of Messines was launched on 7th June 1917 with the detonation of 19 underground mines (1 million pounds of explosives) beneath the German lines on Messines/Wytschaete Ridge, a natural stronghold. Today's tour will take you to: Bayernwald German Trenches, Spanbroekmolen – Lone Tree Crater/Pool of Peace, The Christmas Truce 1914, Hyde Park Corner Memorial & Cemetery (Plugstreet), Irish Peace Park, New Zealand Memorial and final stop on the tour Messines Ridge British Cemetery (recent burials).

Day 4 - Return to London by rail.
