Day 1-2 : Depart UK - Arrive Sydney
Depart the UK for your overnight flight down under.
Arrive Sydney and take a private transfer to your centrally located hotel for a 5 night stay. Defined by the glistening white sails of the opera house and built around one of the world’s finest harbours, Sydney is a world class city with a bustling nightlife, unparalleled dining and enviable beaches. Take a scenic ferry ride across the blue waters of the harbour to Manly, a surf town brimming with local restaurants and bars..
Day 3 : Sydney Sightseeing
Today you’ll enjoy an afternoon city tour. Visit the historic Rocks area and hear early convict history. Enjoy magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. See the shopping heart of the city, the Queen Victoria Building and visit Sydney’s trendy Oxford Street district. Travel through elegant Paddington with its terrace houses before arriving at the Pacific Ocean where you will see the superb coastal cliff walk around Tamarama and Bronte. Day 4 : Sydney Harbour Lunch Cruise
Enjoy a day relaxing and seeing the sights of this magnificent city. To enhance your enjoyment, we include a harbour lunch cruise aboard a modern 78ft cruiser designed to feel luxurious and super comfortable, so you’ll feel right at home. There’s plenty of room on board, and with expansive top, fore and after decks, you can get 360-degree views of the iconic attractions as you sail past. They think lunch should be a long, lavish affair, so they serve generous al la carte meals inspired by locally sourced, regionally inspired delights, paired with a selection of beers, wines, soft drinks and tea or coffee.
Day 5 : Blue Mountains
Your tour begins with a stop at Calmsley Hill, a working farm also home to Kangaroo, Emu, Wombat and Koala. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure. Visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas and enjoy a stress and hurry free environment. Arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous Three Sisters. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours. Stop at Blackheath and enjoy a 2-course lunch.
Day 6-7 : Indian Pacific - Broken Hill, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Surrounds
Your transcontinental adventure begins today when you board the Indian Pacific. Prepare for a journey of contrasts, from lush vineyards to vast goldmines, majestic mountains to the barren expanse of the Nullarbor, from cities of four million to ghost towns of four. As the train winds through the breathtaking Blue Mountains, explore the comforts of life onboard, get acquainted with your cabin and fellow travellers. You arrive in the ‘Silver City’ of Broken Hill as the day begins, where you embark on a morning of Off Train Experiences to discover the mining history and artistic culture of this unique town where the streets are wide and there’s a pub on every corner. Lunch is served onboard as the Indian Pacific enters the southern tip of the spectacular and ancient Flinders Ranges. Arriving in the city of Adelaide in the afternoon, you have the choice of a tour of the city, a visit to the world-famous Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions (seasonal), or a trip to the beautiful Adelaide Hills featuring the culinary delights of Hahndorf.
Day 8 : Indian Pacific - Cook, Rawlinna
You’ll awake to the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain. Breakfast is served as you travel along the longest stretch of straight railway track in the world. This evening, your sense of wonder will be ignited as you enjoy the tranquillity of dinner under the brilliant desert stars in the remote and beautiful Rawlinna (seasonal).
Day 9 : Perth
Breakfast is served as you glide through the mild skies and cool green vales of the Avon Valley on your way to Perth, arriving mid-afternoon after an onboard lunch. Transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. The rest of the day is free to explore the city.
Day 10 : Perth Sightseeing: Arcades & Laneways
On this Perth tour that focuses on the arcades and laneways of the city, you'll learn just such stories and so many more, from the people who know best - the locals! Discover the evolving small bar scene and hidden gems on this information packed walking tour through the heart of Perth's lesser known street scapes with a friendly 'Sandgroper' as your guide. The arcades and laneways provide interesting routes to navigate through the city centre as well as great spots to check out hip and happening events and the proliferation of street art.
Day 11 : Rottnest Island
This beautiful island offers 63 gorgeous beaches, 45kms of walking trails, a fascinating cultural heritage and amazing native wildlife, including a colony of New Zealand fur seals and around 10,000 adorable quokkas. Swim, snorkel, hike, bike or just laze on the sand – this pocket-sized paradise really does have something for everyone.This 8 hour tour provides you with the opportunity to explore Rottnest at your own pace, Explore the many secluded bays and wonderful beaches, stop for a picnic, or just find a nice quiet spot to take a quokka selfie. Return to Perth via ferry. (Hotel drop off not included)
Day 12-14 : Margaret River
Two days to make the most of the region. Perhaps head for the coast to Augusta and the famous lighthouse at Cape Leeuwin where the Indian and Southern oceans meet. Wind your way back through tree lined country roads with wineries and farms where you can see the produce and enjoy a superb lunch too.
Day 15-16 : Perth - Arrive UK
Head back to Perth today, perhaps stopping in Mandurah, a bustling year round resort where you’ll find a host of bird and marine life close to the shore; dolphins are a common sight. Return your car either at the airport in time for your homeward flight
