Day 1: Passau: Casting off 5:00 p.m. 

Fly from London to Munich and transfer by local rail services to Passau to board vessel. Embarkation from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

 

Day 2: Ybbs / Wachau / Vienna 

Ybbs: Mooring 6:00 a.m. – Casting off 12:00 p.m. 

 

Visit to the impressive Basilica of Maria Taferl, one of the most significant places of pilgrimage in Lower Austria – or the imposing hydroelectric power station of Ybbs-Persenbeug. 

 

Cruise through the Danube valley of Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

 

Vienna: Mooring 8:30 p.m. 

 

Evening excursion to the famous Prater, one of the best-known landmarks in Vienna, for a ride on the Ferris wheel – or an excursion to a rustic Viennese “Heuriger” wine bar. 

 

Day 3: Vienna 

Vienna: Casting off 7:00 p.m. 

 

Walking city tour of Vienna, for sights including St Stephen’s Cathedral and the Imperial Palace of Hofburg, with time to explore at leisure. 

 

Excursion to the charming Biedermeier city of Baden – or actively experience Vienna on a bicycle tour – or view Vienna from the lofty heights of an exclusive helicopter ride. 

 

Day 4: Budapest : Mooring 12:00 p.m. 

 

Walking city tour of glamourous Budapest 

 

“Budapest by night” excursion, featuring traditional Hungarian music – or take a trip on a river rider bus 

 

Day 5: Budapest 

Budapest: Casting off 2:00 p.m. 

 

Exciting “Puszta” tour featuring a traditional horse riding demonstration – or “Budapest impressions” city tour/walk with a journey on the oldest underground train in continental Europe – or actively experience Budapest on a bicycle tour. 

 

Day 6: Bratislava: Mooring 8:00 a.m. – Casting off 2:00 p.m. 

Walking tour through the lovingly restored lanes Bratislava’s old town, with a trip to the castle and time to make your own discoveries. 

 

Day 7: Melk: Mooring 7:30 a.m. – Casting off 1:30 p.m. 

Visit to the Benedictine Melk Abbey. 

 

Day 8: Passau: Mooring 7:30 a.m. 

Disembarkation until 9:30am. Transfer by local rail to Munich airport for return flight home or extend your stay with a Munich City Stay package (pricing on request).
