Day 1 Arrive New York City 
Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to New York. Upon arrival, independently make your way to your hotel, where you spend the first night of your adventure. 
NEW YORK HILTON MIDTOWN 
 
Day 2 Preston 135mi / 217km 
Pick up your Motor Home from one of Cruise America’s New York locations and round Long Island Sound before heading northeast towards your first overnight campground. 
 
Day 3 Mystic Seaport, Newport & Sandwich, Cape Cod 125mi / 201km 
Back down the scenic eastern shore of the Thames to visit Mystic Seaport. This once great whaling port and shipyard for fast clippers 
 
Day 4 Hyannis & Plymouth, Cape Cod 55mi / 89km 
A loop to visit the Kennedy family’s Hyannis would be a good idea before heading north again bound for Plymouth where the Mayflower landed the Pilgrims in 1620. 
 
Day 5 Lexington, Salem & Salisbury Beach 
145mi / 233km 
Head north and bypass the city of Boston. An interesting stop would be at Lexington where the first skirmish started the Revolutionary war and where Sam Adams and John Hancock were awakened by Paul Revere 
 
Day 6 Bar Harbor, Maine Coastline 235mi / 378km 
Briefly returning to New Hampshire, the itinerary brings you to Maine and the dramatic and scenic Atlantic coastline 
 
Day 7 Bangor & Mount Blue State Park 160mi / 257km 
Inland to Maine’s Capital Bangor and then on into the state’s picturesque interior. The destination is the Blue Mountain State Park and its campground. 
 
Day 8 White Mountains & Bethlehem 280mi / 451km 
As you cross into New Hampshire again, the mountains get higher. Many you’ll be passing are 4,000 or 5,000 feet high 
 
Day 9 Killington & Gifford Woods State Park 
125mi / 201km 
Soon after crossing into Vermont, you’ll approach the year round resort surrounding Killington Peak. 
 
Day 10 Arlington 60mi / 97km 
Probably no one captured the golden age of Americana more memorably than Norman Rockwell. 
 
Day 11 Hyde Park & Hudson River 140mi / 225km 
Your route takes you into New York State and follows the Hudson River south. This will bring you to Hyde Park. birthplace and home of Franklin D Roosevelt 
 
Day 12 Journey Home 95mi / 153km 
Allow a good two hours to get back to the Cruise America depot in New York, especially if driving in rush hour. Return your motorhome, make your way to the airport and check in for your flight back to the UK. Or stay a few more nights in the big apple!
