Days 2-5 At leisure in Cape Town Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to your chosen hotel for a stay of 4 nights. There’s much to explore from this beautiful city. Discover Table Mountain, the V & A Waterfront or Robben Island. Venture further afield to Cape Point and the penguins of boulders beach, or the winelands. Don't miss the vibrant and innovative restaurant scene which offers great value for money. We're happy to suggest favourite and unique places to eat. We also have an extensive range of day trips which we recommend booking in advance, ask our consultant's for details. Days 6-7 Savour the Winelands We will arrange for a hire car to be delivered to your hotel for your journey to the Winelands. Franschhoek is a picturesque village and a popular place to stay. Stellenbosch is worth exploring and there are numerous wine estates to stop off at en route. We think the wine tram is a fun way to sample the local wines. Stay for 2 nights at your chosen hotel. Drive time approx. 1 hour. |

Days 8-9 Explore the Klein Karoo It’s a scenic drive across the Franschhoek Pass through Robertson and Montagu to Oudtshoorn. This little town is famous for its ostrich farms and the spectacular Cango Caves. Stay for 2 nights at your chosen hotel. Drive time approx. 4½ hours. Days 10-12 Discover the Garden Route Drive to the coast to join the famed Garden Route. The coastal drive will take you through Wilderness and Knysna to Plettenberg Bay. Enjoy nature walks and zip wires in Tsitsikamma Forest or take a whale watching boat trip or dinner cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Stay for 3 nights in your chosen hotel. Drive time approx. 2½ hours. Days 13-15 Take a wildlife safari in the Eastern Cape Drive to your chosen Eastern Cape game reserve for a 3 night stay on safari. Drive time approx. 2½ hours. Day 16 Drive to the airport Enjoy your final game drive and breakfast before driving to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) airport to drop off your hire car and catch your onward flight via Johannesburg to the UK. |

Kariega Game Reserve is a 11,500 hectare wilderness reserve in South Africa's malaria-free Eastern Cape, bordered east and west by the dramatic valleys of the Kariega and Bushmans Rivers. A Wellness Centre with spa treatment rooms and a gym is located at Main Lodge., while all lodges have an outdoor pool. River Lodge and Settlers Drift have spa areas for relaxing treatments.
Activities include twice-daily game drives and guided bush walks and there is the unusual option for some activities on the river including a boat cruise, canoeing or fishing.
Avonrood This 4-star guesthouse is a renovated Victorian Cape Dutch-style house, built in 1870 and retaining many of its original features. It is situated in the historical part of Franschhoek within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants.
Rosenhof Country House is a tranquil and relaxing five-star boutique hotel in Oudtshoorn, en route to the Cango Caves and the Swartberg Pass.
The Rosenhof has a pool, gym, spa, and sauna. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the bar and dine on traditional Karoo cuisine in the Country Kitchen. Meals can also be served by the pool or in the gardens.
Four Rosmead is a 4-star boutique guest house with views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill and Table Bay. Vibrant Kloof Street is within walking distance and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Gardens and Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are all a 10-15 minute drive away.
The Old Rectory five-star boutique hotel is a former National Monument which has been sympathetically restored, resulting in a lovely blend of old and new. Surrounded by milkwood trees it feels tucked away but is just a short stroll to the beaches and restaurants of Plettenberg Bay.
